The incident qualification standard changes approved by National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) Executive Board for the January 2026 NWCG Standards for Wildland Fire Position Qualifications, PMS 310-1 has been applied to the NWCG controls of the application and will take effect 01/23/2026 per the published NWCG memo.
Please see NWCG memo number IPSC-2026-01 at the NWCG Incident and Position Standards Committee (IPSC) Correspondence page for the specific position standard changes for this release. The publication release date of January 23, 2026 identified in the memo was utilized for the effective dates of the standard control tables in the application.
