A big change per the IQCSCMB will be for the application to use Login.gov as the sole source of authentication. This applies to Standard Users and Responder Users.
All users that access the application, to manage other responder records OR view their own responder record, will maintain their profile primary email address on thier Login.gov profile. IQCS 2.0 will then read that information in and populate/display as view only. This will reduce the need to maintain in multiple applications and reduce login issues does to the data not being in sync.

A standard user account are for those persons that will accessing and managing other responder's qualification records via the roles of account manager, certifying official, agency lead, etc.
An IQCS 2.0 user account is build on user role(s) and agency organizational access. This limits every user account to only those roles necessary to complete the tasks on responder profiles where agency organization access has been authorized.
IQCS 2.0 user information can be found on the IQCS website under the User Account menu item.
Application Security
Each IQCS 2.0 user account connects a permission list (agency organizational access) to the User Profile. With the interagency aspect, agency organizational access may contain a blend of one or many agency organizations. This combination of agency access must be authorized by each respective agency representative and represent a clear business need.
Please refer to the IQCS Standard User - Account Instructions, https://iqcsweb.nwcg.gov/iqcs-standard-user-account , for more information.
Application User Roles
Application user roles are defined and maintained by the IQCSCMB and IQCS Application Steward.
An application user role defines:
- What menu items a user can access.
- What pages a user can access.
- What tabs appear when a user accesses a menu component.
- What reports a user can run.
- What actions a user can perform on the pages.
Possible user actions include:
- Display only (no data changing or manipulating).
- Add rows (to add new data or history).
- Update/display rows/pages.
- Correction (to change or correct existing data).
For a list of user roles and the pages and actions that can be completed, please see the Standard User - Role Matrix at https://iqcsweb.nwcg.gov/sites/default/files/documents/Roles_Matrix_August_2024.pdf
