ROSS and IQCS Transfer

The ROSS Clearinghouse staff and the IQCS staff have agreed that it is most trouble-free to transfer the responder in IQCS and only IQCS. It is a proven process that does not require any action by the dispatcher. Transferring a responder to INAC in IQCS will remove the responder from ROSS at their old home unit dispatch and once the new home unit has transferred the responder into their org code, certified quals and send quals to ROSS the responder will be added to their new home unit dispatch center.

These actions are performed by the sending Account Manager

  1. Navigate to Responder Administration > Job Data
  2. Search and select the correct responder for transfer
  3. Once the responder's Job Data page opens, select the + button to add a new row
  4. Set SetID to NWCG0
  5. Set Org Code to INAC
  6. Select the Save button

***DO NOT TRANSFER RESOURCE ITEM IN ROSS. If the Account Manager is also a Dispatcher, resist the urge to transfer record in ROSS. An overhead resource item transferred in ROSS will only cause ROSS to reject further IQCS messages until the ROSS transfer is complete. In addition, the responder’s qualifications will remain under the certification of their old home unit.

These actions are performed by the receiving Account Manager

  1. Navigate to Responder Administration > Job Data
  2. Search and select the correct responder for transfer
  3. Once the responder's Job Data page opens, select the + button to add a new row
  4. Set SetID, Org Code, Unit ID, Training Officer, Alternate Training Officer, Admin Location, Duty Station and Dispatch Unit ID
  5. Select the Save button.
  6. The pop up window informs you that no messages will be sent until positions are checked Send to ROSS.

***Once the new home unit certifies and sends quals to ROSS, at the responder's Incident Qual Card page, the responder and their certified qualifications will be added to the identified dispatch center.

***DO NOT update a responders name until qualifications have been sent to ROSS.
